June 27 Alfredo in two performances of La Traviata for Casa Italiana Opera, Kent Kornmeyer conducting. Violetta was sung by Phyllis Elliott in the matinee and Katty Kochman in the evening, and baritone Ken Simms sang the role of Germont in both. Northridge, CA.

June 6  Two duets and a trio in Opera Nova's Spring Gala: "Parles-moi de ma mere" from Carmen (with Jennifer Pressett), the Friendship Duet from Don Carlos (with Gil Lipaz), and the Tomb Scene from Aida (with Shayne Dalva and Monica Hershenson). Crossroads School, Santa Monica.


May 13  The premiere of "Until the Year", Mark Eckhardt's oratorio for tenor and chorus. Mark is founder of the Be Foundation. At Santa Monica College.


March 15  "A Tribute to Lauritz Melchior" with orchestra at Santa Monica College.

Commemorating the 30th anniversary of the death (in Los Angeles) of the world's most famous heldentenor. 
On the program: "Caecilie" by Strauss; "Winterstürme" from Die Walküre; Vengeance Duet from Otello; Otello's aria "Dio mi potevi scagliar"; Liebesnacht from Tristan und Isolde; "O Paradis" by Meyerbeer; Quintet and Prize Song from Act III of Die Meistersinger; three Danish songs; and the Forging Scene from Siegfried. Encores were "Winterstürme" and Kern's "The Song is You".

Conductors were Kevin McKeown and Kentaro Sato. Yuichi Hoshino accompanied at the piano. The SMC Courier printed a review: newspaper review.
